Niles Municipal Court

Prosecuting Attorney

The prosecuting attorney takes complaints from the public on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00am-10:00am at the court.

Theft Charges Filed By Businesses

Charges must be filed the following work day by 9:00 am. Please have with you any reports or paperwork you would like filed with the case.

If the theft is over $1,000, it is a felony and you must file with the Prosecutor. Should the following morning fall on a day that the Prosecutor is not scheduled to be here, you must still come in and file.

Some businesses complete their own Affidavits to file THEFT charges. These are for misdemeanors only. If your business does not currently complete the affidavit without the assistance of our Prosecutor and would like to begin doing so, talk with the Court's Prosecutor for this request.

All other violations other than THEFT misdemeanors may only be filed with the Prosecutor.

Individuals Filing Charges
